FAQ
HOW DOES ULTRASAN uvc WORK?
UV-C has been applied in several applications over decades throughout the world for germicidal effects. Combining the knowledge and technology that is currently being utilized, TESER enhanced UV-C technology with our current methodology ultimately creating ULTRASAN uvc
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
A cycle is only 60 seconds long – just enough time to sanitize your hands!
WHAT KIND OF BACTERIA DOES ULTRASAN uvc KILL?
ULTRASAN uvc is designed to kill viruses like COVID-19, E.Coli, Influenza A, Influenza B ,MRSA and C. Difficile. These are some of the most dangerous pathogens and are also some of the toughest to kill using UV light. The TESER ACT kills over 99.9999% of E Coli, 99.99% of COVID-19, VACV, MS2, Staph and more.
Does ULTRASAN UV-C kill SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 Virus)?
Yes, the University of Alberta has successfully tested ULTRASAN uvc technology on SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus and eliminated 99.99% in 60 seconds.
Have TESER Sanitization Chambers been tested in laboratories?
Yes, ULTRASAN uvc technology efficacy has been rigorously tested in laboratories at Innotech Alberta, University of Alberta & McGill University.
HOW IS THE USER AFFECTED BY REPEATED USE OF THE TESER ACT?
None, as our design ensures complete enclosure equipped with safety latches to ensure users are not being exposed to UV-C light.
Why does TESER use UV-C LEDs instead of UV-C Mercury Bulbs?
There are many benefits of using LED UVC bulbs over Mercury UVC bulbs. The first being they draw less energy and do not require time to heat up or cool down, overall using less energy. LED UVC bulbs also have a longer lifespan than mercury bulbs which reduces bulb replacement costs.
WHAT TYPES OF DEVICES CAN GO INTO THE TESER ACT?
The TESER ACT should only be used to sanitize non-surgical devices, equipment and personal items with hard, non-porous surfaces. TESER ACT can quickly sanitize a wide range of devices and handheld items in just 60 seconds. Such as: cell phones, smartphones, laptops, packages, tablets, ID badges, watches, walkie-talkies, keys, mobile communication, barcode scanners etc.
HOW MANY ITEMS CAN I PLACE INSIDE THE TESER ACT AT ONCE?
UV-C light cleans by “what is in sight” meaning that as long as the light can “see” the items, it can kill germs on them. So you can place as many objects as you’d like into the chamber, as long as there is at least 1 inch between the items for the light to reach all corners. Items cannot be stacked on top of each other as this will block the light. Interior dimensions are 3x3x3 ft
SHOULD ITEMS BE WIPED DOWN BEFORE SANITIZATION?
Germicidal UVC light will not penetrate through the soil or dirt, therefore it is highly recommended to lightly wipe down the devices before placing them in the TESER ACT. Remember- Cleaning is not sanitization and sanitization is NOT cleaning.
CAN THE TESER ACT BE USED BY CHILDREN?
The TESER ACT is classified as lab equipment and should not be used by those under 14 years.
IS ULTRASAN uvc SAFE FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES?
Unlike harsh chemical wipes, UV light will not damage electronic devices or touch screens.
WHERE CAN THE TESER ACT BE USED?
The TESER ACT can be used anywhere there is a need for sanitization of items
